Least privilege by design. Makini needs read access only, so the login doesn't need rights to edit records.Use a login made just for this connection. Don't reuse a person's login. A dedicated read-only integration user keeps working when people change jobs or passwords, and your administrator can see exactly what it's used for. If you don't have one, ask your Cityworks administrator to create it.What that login is licensed for matters. Cityworks licenses its web services separately. If the login isn't licensed for one of them, that part simply doesn't come through, and the rest of the connection still works.Makini connects to the Cityworks server directly over the internet. The server must accept connections from Makini. If it only accepts connections from inside your network, contact us before you start, so we can agree how to reach it.
Every Cityworks installation has its own address. Makini needs the address of the site's Services, which looks like:https://<host>/<site>/ServicesFor example, https://cityworks.example.gov/CityworksSite/Services. It ends in /Services. If you're not sure what yours is, ask your Cityworks administrator.
