An Ordoro API key belongs to a user. Ordoro ties every API key to the user who created it, and records what the key does under that user's name. If you create the key under your own login, the connection's activity is mixed in with yours, and it's tied to you personally. It's best to set up a separate Ordoro user for integrations and create the key under that user.Create a key just for Makini. Ordoro lets you have several API keys. Keeping one per integration means you can retire this one later without disturbing anything else.
Sign in to Ordoro as the user from "Before you start".
2.
Go to Settings, then Account Settings, then API Keys.
3.
Create a new API key. Ordoro gives you two values: an API key (sometimes shown as the client ID) and an API secret (sometimes shown as the client secret).
4.
Copy both and paste them somewhere safe for a moment; a password manager is best.
If you can't see API Keys in your settings, ask whoever manages your Ordoro account to create the key for you.
Treat the key and secret like a password. Together they give full access to your Ordoro account, including the ability to see and manage its other API keys. Don't email them, don't put them in a chat message, don't save them in a shared document.
